ClearSpace is building the world's first "cleanup" service for Earth's orbit. Using AI-powered robotic grippers, their spacecraft can identify, chase, and safely capture defunct satellites.
### Orbital Cleanup
- **Non-Cooperative Capture**: The AI must calculate how to grab a "tumbling" piece of metal that isn't helping with the docking process.
- **Autonomous Navigation**: Uses computer vision to approach high-velocity debris without causing further collisions.
- **Sustainable De-orbiting**: Once captured, the "tow truck" drags the debris into the atmosphere to burn up safely.
**Current Mission**: Partnered with ESA (European Space Agency) for the first official debris removal mission (ClearSpace-1).
